Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window (now with 24-bit RGB support!)

Thank you Carlos. 1x1 pixel font (also with 24 bit color in this case, so using VT-100 codes) is copious amounts slower than gdi bitmap output. I have not measured but would not be surprised if it’s 15-30 times slower or more (again, as has been discussed in this thread before, it is also heavily de...

Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window (now with 24-bit RGB support!)

Archive/repo update: Version 1.3 of all cmdgfx versions There are now 4 cmdgfx executables, as cmdgfx_VT was added. The output of this version uses VT-100 escape codes, so it obviously only works with Windows 10 machines. Like cmdgfx_RGB, it supports 24-bit color. The obvious advantage of the VT ve...

Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window (now with 24-bit RGB support!)

Archive/repo update: Version 1.1 of cmdgfx/cmdgfx_gdi and 1.2 of cmdgfx_RGB. There were no big changes, except adding 'X' flag for cmdgfx_RGB to convert RGB to 16 color palette at the end of each frame. Now why would anybody in their right mind do that, you might wonder, having just added support f...

Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window (now with 24-bit RGB support!)

Don't use Photoshop... (or even ImageMagick :D ) Cmdgfx_RGB - the poor man's image processing tool 8) https://www.dropbox.com/s/oarw48gy52hvxfg/bmpconv.png?raw=1 With the addition of loading/saving RGB, it's now possible to manipulate real color images in many ways. The block operation with color ex...

Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window (now with 24-bit RGB support!)

(Unsurprisingly) the first version of cmdgfx_RGB had some bugs. Most importantly, new bitopmodes for alpha blending did not work at all for 3d (that's what happens when you just assume something will work without a test). It was fixed and tested in the new RGB-balls.bat script. Also min/max function...

Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window (now with 24 bit RGB support!)

Next-gen cmdgfx has arrived: cmdgfx_RGB ! :) https://www.dropbox.com/s/8ionvgq9qlks45k/collage-RGB.jpg?raw=1 As the name suggests cmdgfx_RGB is a new executable, which has support for 24-bit real color input/output. Like cmdgfx_gdi the output is a bitmap rather than actual text in the buffer, which ...

Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window

Well well, here goes version 1.0 . It was finally time to give it a number :) What's new? 1. In-program help was greatly expanded. It is now possible to get specific info on any operation, e.g. block, by writing cmdgfx /? block. Also, there are specific sections on flags, server, palette, comparing ...

Re: Cardioid - Heart Curve

Thanks again Icarus for inspiration! For cmdgfx users, here is a oneliner: cmdgfx_gdi "block 0 100,0,500,70 100,0 -1 0 0 ????=??03 (y+1) & block 0 0,0,500,70 0,0 -1 0 1 - - store(sin(x/3),1)+store((y+16)/16,2)+16*s2*s1*s1*s1+50 store(x/3,1)+store((y+16)/16,2)+13*s2*cos(s1)-5*cos(s1*2)-2*cos(s1*3)-co...

If I understand correctly, then Cmdwiz "savefont" and "setfont" would also do what you needed to do here

Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window

Archive and repo update Actually, the cmdgfx executable(s) hardly changed at all. The only changes were: 1. A few bug fixes regarding cmdblock 2. Added resource info to the executables 3. Cmdwiz (the companion program) had 'getfullscreen' operation added. Fullscreen / resizable effects Every single...

Re: Cmdwiz - cmd helper tools (now with Unicode)

That's quite annoying, I know  I attached a resource file that you can use for C and C++ apps on Windows. I tried to keep it easy for you to update the values (using a little macro magic and some links to the documentations). Add it to your project, and after the compilation see what file prop...

Re: Cmdwiz - cmd helper tools (now with Unicode)

You might try to change your code a little. Also try to figure out what AV engine Mediafire uses and upload your changed files to VirusTotal in order to see which engines report false positives. In my latest reply of the CONVERTCP thread I wrote some possibilities of what you could try. First of al...

Re: Cmdwiz - cmd helper tools (now with Unicode)

Yikes. Thanks Mediafire. I'm going to have to do something about that. EDIT: It might take some time for Mediafire to reply, so I attached a smaller archive here for now. In order to stay below the 100kb limit, it contains only cmdwiz.exe, cmdwiz-ascii.exe, and two example scripts. EDIT: Haggy, I se...

Re: Cmdwiz - cmd helper tools (now with Unicode)

Finally managed to update the instructions above (section 1 and section 10). The full list of changes for version 1.2 was: 1. As mentioned above, CmdWiz can now use its window operations for other windows than the current console window. See section 1.0 above for an explanation of how it works. 2. T...

Re: Cmdwiz - cmd helper tools (now with Unicode)

By the way, Steffen and Carlos are now mentioned in both the in-program help text and the source code for CmdWiz, since I have used code snippets from both of you for some of the operations. Please let me know if you for whatever reason prefer not to be mentioned, or prefer to be mentioned by your a...
