Batch file does not continue running commands

I'm testing this sample batch file using the /k switch

cmd.exe /k winver
pause

However, once it runs winver it is back to the command prompt. How do I setup batch file to continue processing commands?

Thanks in advance.

Robocopy switches - screen ouput

With Robocopy, I use these switches in my batch file:

/MIR /xf desktop.ini /e /np /tee

Is there a switch to show only screen output of changed or newer files? I prefer not to see all unchanged files scrolling through the screen.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Microsoft tool to compare 2 directories

Thanks Antonio for the script.

Can you tell me where do I specify the folders to compare? Can it prompt me to enter the folder names?

Thanks.

Re: Microsoft tool to compare 2 directories

Thanks for the response. I already have windiff and it does compare directories if there are the same. I was looking for a utility to go through folders and subfolders and output list of the what one folder has or has not, if there are duplicates or a single file.

Thanks.

Microsoft tool to compare 2 directories

Is there a Microsoft tool that will compare 2 directories?

I'm looking to see if there are duplicate files and their locations. Single files on one drive only, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Robocopy /MIR leaves shortcut in destination

After running Robocopy /MIR /np /tee, I ran WINDIFF to compare both directories. On the top level destination there's a shortcut to an external drive, that is not on the source. Why is this happening? I thought Robocopy does a complete replica of the source. Is there a switch I need to include on th...

Xcopy switch help

Xcopy seems to be copying all the files within a folder when only a file is created and no other files have changed.

Command line I'm using:
xcopy c:\users\user\test e:\test /s /d /e /y /v

Is there a switch to truly copy only source files that have changed, or a switch that I should remove?

Thanks
