Re: How to center align text.

Hi, you can center a string at specified length using this tip: @echo off & setlocal EnableDelayedExpansion :: size of box or windows (specified length) set sizemax=70 set s=blablablablablabla for /L %%# in (1,2,!sizemax!) do if "!s:~%sizemax%,1!" == "" set "s= !s! "...

Re: Batch Maze Game

Hi, good work Sounak@9434! can you add a timeout for completing a maze ? (this is very difficult) For pure batch game you can use neorobin's maze generator: @echo off & setlocal enabledelayedexpansion & color f0 & chcp 437 set /a "wid=60,hei=40,wid|=1,hei|=1,iMax=wid*hei,cols=wid,ro...

To be honest I wouldn't feel comfortable providing non-ASCII variable names (like %%£) in a forum like DosTips :wink: You can't predict what default code pages computers of international members use.

%£ was unexpected at this time.

On my system this error is not show...

The "set ray" is a debug line. The code is not finished! Sorry :cry:

Re: Dos Batch Raycast - Maze3D/Explorer3D Beta

I found another trick for speedup the algorithm. The output of the screen is symmetric on the X or Y. It is possible calculate only half number of lines. In this mode we can get 50ms off or more on the traslate procedure. I can't implement because I'm getting a depressive status and my mind not work...

Re: RdRand.exe: Robust random numbers for Batch files

On my old intel celeron I aspect 0.

But my "Avira antivir" found a "HEUR/APC (Cloud)' model.

All work fine without antivirus active (ERRORLEVEL=0)

Great utility! I think at Montecarlo methods for graphics generation :)

Re: Fastest sin(x) in dos batch

Hi, I have found this new implementation by user neorobin. I thinks that this version of SIN is faster, but I have not done TEST. @neorobin can you explain this part? s1=(t-p#2^t-p3#2)>>31 why that XOR? Hi einstein1969 I made another implementation, origin from 3D Sphere http://www.dostips.com/forum...

@neorobin
very nice SIN alternative. I think your version is faster than precedence. I will post this version in the original thread of fastest sin x.

Hi misol101, very good job! I see that you are using the sin(x) macros developed by me and Aacini and other Dostip users. You can find the last version, faster than the previous in this thread. The extracted code: set "SIN=(a - a*a/1920*a/312500 + a*a/1920*a/15625*a/15625*a/2560000 - a*a/1875*a...
