Re: Fastest sin(x) in dos batch

Hi, I have found this new implementation by user neorobin. I thinks that this version of SIN is faster, but I have not done TEST. @neorobin can you explain this part? s1=(t-p#2^t-p3#2)>>31 why that XOR? Hi einstein1969 I made another implementation, origin from 3D Sphere http://www.dostips.com/forum...

@neorobin
very nice SIN alternative. I think your version is faster than precedence. I will post this version in the original thread of fastest sin x.

Re: Cmdgfx - draw graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd line window

Hi misol101, very good job! I see that you are using the sin(x) macros developed by me and Aacini and other Dostip users. You can find the last version, faster than the previous in this thread. The extracted code: set "SIN=(a - a*a/1920*a/312500 + a*a/1920*a/15625*a/15625*a/2560000 - a*a/1875*a...

Re: error in date time calculations

Thanks for the solutions But using all, I get the problem when origen beginning date (example year:month/time) 2016/12 23:09:08,33 and the end time is greater in date, and less in time example 2017/01 09:08:09,54 When the process runs by night and pass midnight In this case, is there some solution ...

Re: error in date time calculations

strange negative result... when you test use "echo on" for debug porpouse. Than post here. This is a variation that ROUND the centisecond results to second: @echo off rem start time watch set t1=%time: =0% rem do some work..... timeout 4 rem calculate second elapsed for /F "tokens=1-8...

Re: error in date time calculations

The error is on calculous. post the code that calculate elapsed time. I use this and this is error free. rem start time watch set t1=%time: =0% rem do some work..... rem calculate centisecond elapsed for /F "tokens=1-8 delims=:.," %%a in ("%t1%:%time: =0%") do set /a "a=(((1...

Re: CmdRunner - 3d game (CubeRunner clone)

For achieve major performnce you can do this: 1 - Use one set/A using comma separator instead using set/A&set/a&.... 2 - Using a for /L %%. () do for a loop instead using GOTO :label 3 - Do not execute every time cmdgfx. manage input into cmdgfx or use a parallel process. Look at work done ...

Re: CmdRunner - 3d game (CubeRunner clone)

Archive updated. I was looking at a 3d batch script by einstein1969,and found the line: for /F "Tokens=1 delims==" %%v in ('set') do set "%%v=" Clever little thing, and amazing how much it speeds things up to clean the environment from variables! So I tried it for this game and ...

Re: FC.EXE: Is there a faster alternative?

Seem that you have a lot of memory.

Try to use the SMARTDRV.exe

EDIT:
try this code :

Code: Select all

   %FC% /b %1 %2 >out.txt
   %FIND% "FC: no differences encountered" out.txt >nul

Re: FC.EXE: Is there a faster alternative?

Thanks, einstein1969, for you speedy reply. If your fc is outer a cicle for, you can try to optimize floppy access using the command BUFFERS and FILES in your config.sys I'm afraid I'm not very tech savvy so I don't understand what "outer a cicle for" means. What values would you suggest ...
