Re: Cmdgfx - draw 3d and graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd window

Repo and archive was updated. This is a minor release, but it still has a fairly large number of changes: 1. cmdgfx_input: Added 'R' flag to report on the dimensions of the current window, since in Win10 any cmd window can be resized with the mouse. When 'R' is enabled, event data sent by cmdgfx_in...

Re: Cmdwiz - cmd helper tools (now with Unicode)

Here is version 1.1 of Cmdwiz (see updated archive link in first post) What's new? 1. showwindow : Added options to make the window topmost, top, or bottom . Also added close in order to close the window. Topmost option was removed from setwindowpos operation. (see 1.12 above) 2. New operation: send...

Re: BWin - Mouse GUI with windows - move, scale, maximize, close, tab, animate

The archive was updated once more. This time I added a file explorer (only to the Jscript version). It opens automatically if running BWin.bat without input. That makes it much easier to browse and open other files inside BWin. The file explorer has no other functions than to browse between folders ...

Re: Cmdwiz - cmd helper tools

Version 1.0 release! :P Archive was updated , see first post for link. What's new? 1. Unicode support! Yes, Steffen only had to wait almost 2 years for his feature request to be implemented :P Sorry about that. More about Unicode and versions below 2. This version is officially called 1.0, which can...

Re: More L-systems (also in 3d)

Thanks IcarusLives and thanks for the inspiration! I updated the archive above: now press 'b' (for 3d version script) to switch to rendering small balls at the vertex points, and press 'b' again to draw both lines and balls. Drawing the balls is a bit heavier than drawing lines, and especially togeth...

This one actually creates 3d obj files before rendering them. Depending on CPU speed/disk speed this might take a little while (it is pretty fast on my ...

More L-systems (also in 3d)

Re: Unable to understand how to use findstr...

Does it absolutely *have* to be findstr? If so, then I can't help you, but if not, then this is precisely the kind of task I would use some quick-and-dirty c code for: #include <stdio.h> int main(int argc, char **argv) { FILE *fp, *ofp; long si,ei; if (argc <= 3) { puts("Usage: cpbinl file startline...

Re: Misol and Cari had a lovechild!

Archive update (added scripts demo-FULLSCREEN.bat and kaleidoscope-FULLSCREEN.bat) With the newfound speed of cmdgfx_gdi that I posted about recently, I figured: why not try to run this demo fullscreen? https://www.dropbox.com/s/0t2wg7tqf55jd5f/ll-fs2.PNG?raw=1 This is 1366x768, but I have tested i...

Re: Cmdgfx - draw graphic primitives (polygons, circles etc) in cmd line window

Repo and archive was updated . Most importantly, this version brings added speed to the GDI version, especially for when running fullscreen or with large windows. For example, on my Win10 machine, the fullscreen example script servH-zoom-maximized-custom-palette.bat can now run at 80 FPS (previousl...

Re: BWin - Mouse GUI with windows - move, scale, maximize, close, tab, animate

Archive was updated due to the fact that the speed of cmdgfx_gdi was improved (especially for fullscreen , try it if fullscreen seemed sluggish before!) Also, BWin now accepts files with spaces in their names being dropped on BWin.bat either at start or while running. As mentioned above, a Snake ga...

Re: Any other bat to exe converters/wrappers?

Then the only reason I used QBFC was because it allowed me to turn a batch file into an executable which allowed me to rename it to .SCR which allowed me to set it as a screensaver. Nice idea, finally an actual use for those things. Also, to respond to OP, what is this obsession with file size? Whe...

Re: Mouse GUI with windows - move, scale, maximize, close, tab, animate

Woooh! Another archive update . This one brings greatly improved speed , because the whole thing (almost) was converted to Javascript! The old version is still kept in the Batch folder, while the new fast version is in the JScript folder (run BWin.bat in both cases). At first it seemed to be only ab...
