Thank you all!
It really works - though I really don't understand the code.
Thanks again.

Re: CONVERTCP.exe - Convert text from one code page to another
@aGerman and @Dave: As Steffen wrote he made CONVERTCP for me - I had one old 16-bit 'pure' DOS .exe which I was using on an almost daily basis to do conversions between CP852 and CP1250 (and vice versa) - of course these 16-bit .exe files don't work on 64-bit architecture any more. Of course Steffe...

Re: How to display the choice /t timer?
@miskox - I appreciate the effort, I had thought of the same method too before posting the question, but because of screen flicker I rejected it. If there's any way (or plugin) to get around the screen flicker then I'm interested Thanks, Of course there are methods to move cursor without flickering...

Of course. Redirection to NUL would cause the FC command to complete faster than displaying everything to the screen or writing to a file.

Is it possible that the MORE command displays -- More (3%) -- prompt after the page is full? Maybe you can answer with pressing the SPACE key (or Q to quit and it should finish immediately I guess). Re: About FC /B - for very large files
One way would be to redirect output to NUL C:\fc /b file1.exe file2.exe>nul if ERRORLEVEL returns 1 there is a mismatch. Also if file sizes are not the same ERRORLEVEL is 1. Another way would be using a 3rd party software: for example md5.exe or similar and then you can compare these MD5 hashes. Saso
