I have been using the '2>nul FOR /F ()' hiding technique for a while now, I haven't had any problems with it and so claim;
the technique is SAFE until the opposite is proven.

I really don't think there is a need for encoding and avoiding the FOR /F bug !

For those who read this topic now,

The for /F bug is nasty but should not be a problem in any macro definition if parameters are appended instead of processed by for like so.

...
) else set arguments=
