I would like to use bat files to change some preferences. I do not know where the settings and control panel's files are located and thus have no idea how to do this. Help?

How are we supposed to help if you have not given us sufficient information on what you want to change?

They're probably in the registry somewhere. Unfortunately, you haven't told us which settings you're looking to change, so I recommend just searching Google for "regedit" and then whatever setting you want, like "regedit wallpaper fit" or whatever.

Sorry, I thought the settings would be all in the same place. I want to change the balance of sound from my headphones by using a batch file (control panel > sound > speaker > properties > levels) and change the nightlight settings.

Hello @talberto,

I assume you are talking about Win 10?

Have a look here => How to Turn On or Off Night Light in Windows 10

I hope this helps!
