Hi again, guys!
You've all been so generous with your time and expertise in helping me get my old DOS laptop up and running again that first of all I want to say "Thanks!"
So, now I have a question: This forum is called "DOS Batch Forum," so would I be out of line in posting general queries about MS-DOS in this forum?
Would you prefer that I post such queries to a different forum?
If so, could you point me to a web forum where questions about MS-DOS would be more appropriate?

P.S. My game plan is to first re-learn and get comfortable with my old MS-DOS software and batch files while picking up an old writing project that I started over twenty years ago on' a Kaypro computer running C/PM (I still have the 5.25" floppies with that project still on them!)
Then, once I've found my way around my MS-DOS system again, I'd like to transition to a contemporary operating system that has the transparency and simplicity of MS-DOS, but which could also take advantage of the resources of a modern computer.
I'm hoping you guys can help me along the way on this path. Will
Are MS-DOS questions welcome here?

Re: Are MS-DOS questions welcome here?
The forum is dedicated to XP batch files I think - but post your question and if the admin hops in here and says no then you can always go to Usenet in the alt.msdos.batch newsgroup.

Hi Will,
I suppose nobody would delete a question about real DOS here.
Where else you should ask this type of questions, if not here?
I see many OT questions, but normally only spam is deleted.
