How can I set a HP 4L laserjet printer via LPT port?

#1 Post by Osvaldo de Garay » 20 May 2013 10:30

Hi all in this forum. I'm new here! I recently find you in Google.

I still using the old DOS 7.10 in 4 oldies AMD 486's

I currently want to know if there exist any way to change/set the page size in an also old HP 4L laserjet printer.

Many thanks in advance, and sorry if my English is not too good.

You can probably find the printer control language in the manual and send appropriate codes to the LPT port using Qbasic, to set modes and fonts and size etc.
